By taking this course, the agent will learn how to identify and assess risk. The agent will also become versed in the language of the policy including the covered risks of the policy and matters that fall within the exclusions of the policy thus enabling the agent to identify matters that can be insured over as well as learning to avoid insuring over excluded matters. Because the policy is a contract, the agent will learn how to draft affirmative language in accordance with contract law.
